I've been riding for long enough now that my bikes are vintage! I have a 1985 Kamra Aero II, a 1987 Giant Iguana, that I use as a sort of commuter/test mule. I'm (Not quite faithfully, I'm afraid, for the purists among you.) restoring a Rixe of dubious age, and I have another frame, a NOS Yokota "Victory" that I haven't started yet. I'm a sort of a Luddite, I guess. (I also ride a 2003 Moto Guzzi California, for instance.) I'm not exactly in love with indexed shifters-- they seem to be the answer to a question I never asked. confuse I DO have a Firmstrong beach cruiser with a Nexus 7 rear hub, and that seems to work ok. I'm 59, born in Tennessee, and now live in the New Mexico desert. I am a DOM (Doctor of Oriental Medicine--- herbs, acupuncture, etc.) and an RN. Glad to be here! (Glad to be anywhere... biggrin)
