1976 Strawberry Racing Cycle

Strawberry Racing Cycles  started  in  1971 and  still are operating out of Portland Oregon, this was  their answer of  handbuilding and selling  Italian style  race bikes  in the United States, I have swapped and  bought  many of vintage  road and mountain bikes over the years, and  when I  posted a early Ritchey Mtb bike for sale or swap  this showed  up, without any decals or stampings, a even swap was done  due to the Campagnolo components that were stamped with 75 markings it also had Campy dropouts and that  it came with  tubular Fiamme wheels with Campy 36H high flange hubs also  Cinelli bar and stem. After some cleaning it up I flipped the bike over and with a very bright light saw a  faint stamping of SRC  76 on the bb lug , next thing was to send pictures via emails to Andy Newland the  owner of Strawberry , he did comfirm that  it is and was built in his Portland shop using Prugnet lugs and Reynolds tubing, also working in the shop with Andy were a few other young guns and one  of them being Mark DiNucci a  fantastic local racer that also built what he raced and that being a SRC Racing Cycle, so the next detailed  pictures to be sent were to DiNucci, where it  was a final  and postive ID of being built by DiNucci himself while working for SRC  in the mid 70's .Not long after this DiNucci  went off on his own  and  branded his own name on  his builds
