I see that the Raleigh comes with a Singapore license plate. Check if the license plate number tally with the frame. I think you can search for the embossed number at the downtube of the frame, or try to search for it. It will be rare if u have a bike that comes with a original license plate, and both the frame number and license plate number tally.
Anyway... I think your Raleigh condition still look good and does not need any restoration. Just keep it as it is will be good. By the way, you lock your bike at the void deck?
Light surface rust, use 000 steel wool Stubborn rust, use copper brush!
Raleigh Sport: Please remove the basket & the rear kick stand Replace the saddle with a Brooks If the paint is original, use are wax to polish the surface Looks like you have a rear AB hub (build-in drum brakes) Much harder to find And please, don't leave it at the void deck!
Raleigh RobinHood: Please remove the rear rack Replace the saddle with a Brooks Missing rod attachment for the rear brake (Cannot find original, go for Chinese) Probably you need to strip and repaint the frame Re-chrome the rims (Can buy NOS chinese rims instead) Replace the spokes (Cannot find original, go for Chinese)
Remember, try to use parts that are original and period correct! Salvage as many parts as possible from the existing bicycle
Classic & vintage bicycles not only look good, ride good and feel good It's also about getting your hands dirty, spending time to restore and refurbish to achieve "Showroom" condition You occasionally spend more money to get the end results
