Recently I picked up a vintage 10 speed from the 60s or 70s. So I think it's from 60's but someone told me that since it has reflectors on the pedals it might be from 70s. it has the gear shifters on the frame but on the lower half( see pictures below). It has a old wheel powered head light and rear light. also the wierd thing is it only has the makers name but no model name. Meaning it only says "HAWK". It has a front name plate where the handle bars attach to the forks and that also says "HAWK". It says it's made in Japan. i want to know anything anyone can tell me about it. including value. Oh and the color is a dark dark purple. Looks black unless you are up close. I'm attaching several pictures. I hope somebody can help me out. Thank you.
I Have an Indie Hawk, and from what I found on the internet it was made in 85, (Japan) and when I scraped all the horrid silver paint off (paint stripper) I was left with a beauty frame with pre chromed fork and rears. not sure if this was a trait of Indie but a wee scratch might reveal volumes.
