USING THE TOOL Get a 6 inch G clamp and set it up like this
Gently tighten the clamp and push the collar into the frame
When pushed in the little mushroom pin in the frame becomes loose
Remove the little mushroom pin
Remove the clamp and the tool but be careful it doesn't fly out with the spring. You might have to lever the stand leg a bit up and down to get it out.
And there it is, removed. To put back is the same in reverse.
