Original = Keeping the patina, show the age and sign of use through out its life

Restored = Strip to bare bone, rebuild (some times with modern parts) and repaint to its formal glory, more worthy to use as daily ride

I prefer Original but I vote Restored because some bicycle I own really need it
Besides, I enjoy restoration work!

Original!!...some bicycles tell stories of the lives of people or places.. The little scratches, dents and fading shows the rich history it has accumulated over the years:)

I am in both camps. Prefer original, but there are some that need restoration. Or you could always do a sympathetic restoration on it, maintain as much of the original patina as possible and just repair what needs it to ride again.
