Original!!...some bicycles tell stories of the lives of people or places.. The little scratches, dents and fading shows the rich history it has accumulated over the years:)
I am in both camps. Prefer original, but there are some that need restoration. Or you could always do a sympathetic restoration on it, maintain as much of the original patina as possible and just repair what needs it to ride again.
