Non Circular Chainrings.

So you must be cracking up, why didin't the egg-shaped or oval shape chainring take off even though it is invented in the 1890s?

Yes, they have dead spots but it surely has its adventages.

I noticed the 2008 Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre, and the UK’s Bradley Wiggins have been using them in races.
