I'm a fan of keeping it original. I have a 74 Peugeot which shows its wear - but hey, its from 1974. It was acquired in a small village in France and carried home to Singapore. Sure she has a few minor rust spots but I wouldn't change it for the world. I agree though, if the previous owner did a bad paint job, then I take it as my duty to the cycle to re-do the paint job and restore the cycle as much / or less as possible to it's original glory.. it's why we do what we do :)
